Welcome
Welcome to Farmington Youth Lacrosse. Our organization is focused on providing a fun and positive environment for the boys and girls of Farmington to learn and play the game of lacrosse.  We strive to follow the US Lacrosse ROOTS  philosophy:  Teach respect for Rules, Opponents, Officials, Teammates, and Self. FYL aims to promote the sport of lacrosse in Farmington and to instill a love for the game among players and their families.

Pre-Season Indoor clinics at Avon Old Farms School

DATES:  Sunday March 8, 15 and 22.

TIMES:

TEAM GRADES TIME
 Developmental & Bantam  K-2  |  3-4 1:00-2:00
 Juniors  5-6 2:00-3:30
 Seniors  7-8 3:30-5:00

Please plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early to get equipment adjusted and ready to start so we can make the most of our time on the field.

A few house rules:

  1. Please wear sneakers with non-marking soles.  No cleats or turf shoes are permitted on the rubber playing surface.

  2. Plan to change into your sneakers when you arrive so we can avoid dragging sand and dirt onto the playing surface.

  3. Bring only WATER to drink. No Gatorade or other sports drinks are permitted.

  4. DO NOT THROW BALLS AGAINST WALLS AT ANY TIME!

  5. Parents are permitted to stay to observe, but space is very limited (and you will be exposed to flying hard rubber balls!)

  6. All water bottles, etc. must be removed at the end of your session.

Equipment:
Plan to wear your full protective gear (helmet, shoulder pads, arm pads, gloves, cup, mouth guard.... and stick!).    If you do not have a mouthguard, remember to get one this week!

For new Bantam players and Developmental players, only sticks are required and gloves are optional.

Practice pinnies will not be ready for the clinic, so please bring an old pinney or jersey to wear over your pads.

Directions:
The field house is located on the campus of Avon Old Farms School. You will enter from the east entrance near Fisher Meadows fields in Avon.  SEE THE ATTACHMENT FOR MAP AND DIRECTIONS.

THANK YOU!
